An activity filled frogtastic party, including arts & crafts, games, forest activities and exploration!

What is a Forest Freedom party?
Children are taken on an adventure following a theme of your child’s choice. The adventure begins at base camp where we explain our mission. We then set off and explore the forest with various activities, games and arts & crafts (if wanted.) There is also time for free play in our ropes & swings, mud kitchen, dens and tree climbing. At Forest Freedom the children always lead the adventure, so if they don’t want to be involved in all of the activities there is still lots to explore!
As our sessions are fully supervised and led by our Frog Army in the forest area of our site, we suggest you make this a parent drop off party for your guests (which most love!) We will also be moving around a lot during the party, so parents won’t really see what is happening. This is completely your choice, and does depend on the child’s age. If parents do drop off they can then join back for the celebration at the end with cake and drinks. We do have a small area for parents to sit in during the session though if needed.

Arts & Crafts /party toy package: £5 extra per child
Arts and crafts activities during the session (all children will leave with either 2 crafts or a craft and small theme related toy which will be used during the session so they will become good friends!)
Snack Pack: £5 extra per child
A much needed energy pack which includes hot chocolate or smoothie, banana, brioche and crisps. This is usually served at the end of the session. People feel this is adequate snack before cake time, and it means you don’t have to provide any additional catering for the children unless you want to.
What IS included?
- Venue hire – We cover all costs for the venue hire and services
- A full Frog Army! – We offer the correct ratio of qualified team for your party. Depending on numbers (and craft option) this will be between 2-4 team members who will be fully engaged with your children throughout the session -leaving you to relax :).
- One and half hours of Forest Freedom activities – Our frog army will provide a full one and half hours of activity. Including games, forest activities and exploration to the theme you requested. As well as arts & crafts if you booked this. Parents can drop children off for this if you/they wish, but we ask at least one family representative stays present (within grounds.)
- A Party theme of your choice – This can be based around characters, activities or just forest exploration or skills. Where possible we will tailor the session to your theme. We can offer suggestions, but are happy to take on the challenge of new themes. Theme examples: Fairies & Wolves, Unicorns & Dinosaurs, Freddie Frog and friends, Forest animals, Den building, Bushcraft (no fires!), Peppa Pig or Forest Superhero’s!
- 30 minutes of Celebration! – After the fun we provide an area to serve food/drink and the all important birthday cake! An option of music & dancing/games can be done at this time. We also have an area tou can use for the parents to adjacent to the childrens eating area.
- Secure venue – Our Forest School site is fully enclosed, so children can explore freely and parents can have peace of mind.
- Kitchen/toilet access – We have access to a small kitchen if you need to store food/drink during the time of the activity session (so the squirrels don’t get to it!) You can also use the toilets at the wandle rec (if you don’t fancy our tent toilets which are dotted around the site!)
- Water & wipes – We have drinking water and wipes available at all times throughout the session.
- Anything else? – If there is anything else you want at the party, please just ask – we love a challenge!
What is NOT included?
- Party food – Though we offer a snack pack for the send of the session, we are not a food business, so we unapologetically do not do further catering. Parents can bring their own food and drink, or we can recommend suppliers to do this. If you do provide catering, we ask you are respectful of the environment we are in, and remove all rubbish at the end of the party (there are large bins available at Wandle rec to do this.)
- Decorations – You are welcome to bring your own decorations, but please be mindful that this is a forest and ecological site. So please no decorations that could harm the environment, and please remove all before you leave.
- The weather! – Though we all hope the weather will be good, sadly we can’t promise this! If the elements are unkind a gazebo and our permanent bell tent are available for the cake celebration session. We do have some tarps and covered areas in our Forest, but at Forest Freedom we believe there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing! The wetter the better! Parties will go ahead in all weathers (except high winds and thunder/lightening, where we will work with the parents to reschedule.)
